Full Job Description

An opportunity exists for a dynamic workshop manager, who is able to quickly demonstrate efficiency and production improvements within our manufacturing operations.

The successful candidate will be 100% reliable and dedicated to the improvement of our manufacturing operations. You will come from a manufacturing background having experience of machine shop, fabrication, welding, assembly and test operations. Production planning and cost control are essential disciplines and will form part of the day to day responsibility for the effective management of the workshop. You will have direct responsibility for around 20 workshop employees and be able to motivate and drive them to deliver their best performance.

Schoolhill Engineering are a long established Aberdeen based engineering company working in the design and manufacture of hydraulic and mechanical handling equipment. Northern Star Awards Winner, Best Family Business 2023 and Export Category runner-up.

The company produces a wide range of equipment across two business sectors, mainly Energy Subsea, but also Barrel Working Machinery for the wines and spirits industry. The company has a number blue chip customers throughout the world, and is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to further strengthen its management team.
