Workshop Assistant - Joinery, Glass Factory

We are seeking a dedicated Workshop assistant to join our team. As a workshop assistant, you will be responsible for various tasks related to fabrication, assembly, and production within our factory environment.

Responsibilities:
- To achieve pre-set and agreed production rate to agreed company standard.

- To manufacture windows and components in accordance with company procedures.

- To note any discrepancies as soon as they arise to help ensure the smooth flow of production.

- To be responsible for the smooth running of the weekly production run of the manufacturing of the double glazed units.

- To inform the workshop Manager of any maintenance that the machinery at the glass factory requires.

- To carry out a weekly and monthly stock check and report back to the Workshop Manager.

- Inform the Workshop Manager or Workshop Supervisor of progress.

- Let the Workshop Manager know any problems that arise and make suggestion for improvements.

- Co-operate with the Workshop Manager and Workshop Supervisor to achieve effective stock control.

- Comply with company Health and Safety procedures.

Previous experience in factory work or a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of joinery techniques preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
