About The College:
Elmwood College has an international reputation for golf education and land-based studies.
A new golf course at the College was constructed in 1995 and a new Academy of Hair and Beauty, a fitness suite and an equine centre were opened in 2001.
College courses lead to qualifications including National Qualifications, Scottish Vocational Qualifications, Higher National Certificates (HNC) and Higher National Diplomas (HND).
Courses are run in subjects including
The ‘Caddie Connect’ course is a unique, accredited qualification in golf caddying, which you can study at College or from home.
The College has an office in China, to support its work to develop golf, with Chinese institutions. Chinese students come to Elmwood to take one of the HNC courses in golf management, then complete a degree in Golf Tourism at the University of Abertay Dundee.
Support for learning
The Student Adviser provides support in study skills.
The Manager of Inclusiveness Support arranges extra help for students with special needs, including dyslexia, physical disabilities and other disorders.
The College specialises in supporting students with autistic disorders in mainstream courses.
Child care
The college nursery cares for children from birth to 5 years.
Mature entrants
Mature students are welcome. The Access Pathways course can help you back to study.
Access courses
There is an Access course leading to degrees in Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Dundee or St Andrews.
Part time study
There are part time courses in many subjects and a good range of flexible learning courses.
Community courses
The College runs part time courses in some 10 community venues in Fife.
