About The University:
Edinburgh College of Art was founded, as the Drawing Academy, in 1760. It has been at its present site since 1907.
eca is one of the oldest and largest art colleges of its kind. Today, around 1,800 students study here, investigating, learning and above all practicing art, design, architecture and landscape architecture.
Although proud of its independence, eca degree programmes are validated by The University of Edinburgh. This means not only will you gain one of the richest education experiences available, but also earn a qualification guaranteed by one of the UK's leading academic institutions.
We offer undergraduate degree programmes in:
- furniture & product design
- glass & architectural glass
- graphic design
- illustration
- integrated product design
- jewellery & silversmithing

All students will be challenged and encouraged by teaching staff that are leaders in their field - in a friendly, competitive environment, with access to the best materials and resources. With a sector leading staff to student ratio, students are given ample opportuntity to develop specialist skills and, most important of all, create and become involved with new ideas.
