About The College:
Dumfries and Galloway College provides further education for the southwest of Scotland, from its campuses in Dumfries, Newton Stewart and Stranraer.
The College has 5 campuses
Heathhall, on the northern edge of Dumfries, opened in 1973, runs most courses
Maxwell House, on the Crichton Campus in Dumfries, where business management degree courses are run
George Street, in central Dumfries, for art and design, media and performing arts
Stranraer, opened in 1990
Newton Stewart, opened in 1999
Courses lead to qualifications including National Qualifications, Scottish Vocational Qualifications, Higher National Certificates (HNC), Higher National Diplomas (HND) and degrees.
Links with the Universities of Glasgow and Paisley, through the Crichton Campus, mean there are good progression routes for students.

Support for learning
There is good student support, including help with learning and study skills.
Students with disabilities and special needs are welcome. The College provides extra support.
Child care
The College Nursery, in Dumfries, cares for children aged 2 to 5 years.
Mature entrants
Mature students are welcome. If you have suitable experience, you may be accepted without the normal entry requirements.
Access courses
There is an Access course in Creative Media, leading to study for an HNC or HND.
Part time study
There are part time day and evening courses at all campuses.
There are open and flexible learning courses for those who cannot attend college regularly.
Community courses
The College co-operates with Community Learning and Development, so students can access flexible learning courses at local centres.
