The core course is followed by an intensive course on the systematic pathology, microbiology, parasitology, immunology, pharmacology and other subjects relevant to disease diagnoses and health control in aquaculture. These courses occupy one and a half semesters of lectures, practical work with field visits to laboratories, aquaculture establishments and research stations.

This course is only offered every 2 years. The next course commences September 2010.

Entry Requirements: A good Honours degree in Agriculture, Zoology, Applied Biology or Microbiology is required.
